UFC Lightweight Islam Makhachev is on a run and he is so confident in his wrestling that he might be willing to test himself against the best ever to do it. Makhachev, who last lost in as long as more than 6 years ago and as of now is 22-1 in his overall MMA career with 14 finishes. Makhachev, a cheerful and humble person by his temperament, last fought last weekend in the UFC Apex when he defeated Bobby Green via first-round TKO.

Makhachev is currently ranked #3 and is on a 10-fight win streak since his last loss in the UFC. This is the longest win streak in the UFC Lightweight division alongside the current champion Charles Oliveira and is the second-longest in the entire roster, with the welterweight champion Kamaru Usman leading his streak at 15 wins. Makhachev now has wins over the likes of Green, Dan Hooker, Drew Dober, Thiago Moises, Arman Tsarukyan, Gleison Tibau and many more.

As recorded on Eagle FC owner and retired MMA fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov’s official Youtube channel, in helping longtime teammates Umar Nurmagomedov and Tagir Ulanbekov prepare for their fights for UFC 272 which is headlined by welterweights Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington, Makhachev wrestles his longtime manager and founder of Dominance MMA management agency Ali Abdelaziz.
