UFC superstar Conor McGregor is one of the biggest names in combat sports. His achievements in MMA set him apart from other combat athletes. In his recent clip online, McGregor took on a punching machine in hopes of setting a new high score. However, the result didn’t turn out as imagined.
Previously, Conor had set a good score of 932 in his previous punch, but this time he failed hilariously. After loading a strong punch, Conor landed his blow which ended up breaking the machine. The score on the screen showed 1, which Conor later pointed to by calling himself the ‘No.1.’
The Irishman is currently set to make a return to the octagon in a speculated matchup against Michael Chandler. His return will take place after two years of layoff due to a leg injury against Dustin Poirier back in 2021. However, the UFC has yet to confirm his fight against Michael Chandler. The two athletes appeared on TUF 31 as rival coaches which created the much-anticipated buildup to the fight.
After UFC’s announcement of the 295 and 296 cards, McGregor’s return fight is bound to take place in 2024. In multiple interviews, the Irishman gave the green signal to make a fight happen as early as possible. However, due to his USADA troubles, the fight got delayed. According to some reports, the fight could be booked in early 2024.
Conor McGregor shared his words of encouragement to Dillon Danis before his boxing match
UFC superstar Conor McGregor and BJJ fighter Dillon Danis share a great relationship as training partners. Currently, Danis is taking on YouTuber Logan Paul in a boxing fest on October 14. And McGregor believed that Danis was the better fighter in this bout.
The Irishman, when asked about his advice for Danis before his fight, hilariously said that he should ditch boxing and use his jiu-jitsu skills to break Logan’s limb. McGregor’s support in this fight could give Danis a huge moral boost as makes his boxing debut. However, Paul makes it difficult for Danis as he is a huge opponent with some better experience in the ring. The YouTuber has already fought McGregor’s previous boxing opponent, Floyd Mayweather. Though it was an exhibition, Paul lasted all eight rounds of the fight.
The buildup to this bout is what makes the match so interesting. In the past month or two, Danis has attacked Logan’s fiancee Nina Agdal on Twitter over her past relationships. This incident became so huge that Danis is currently dealing with a lawsuit just days before his fight.
