The 41-year-old was charged with murder on Thursday over the killing of his girlfriend Taylor Pomaski. Her remains were found in December exactly seven months after she was reported missing.
Kevin is also charged with tampering with evidence relating to the corpse, in the death of Pomaski. If convicted of a murder the ex-NFL tight end faces up to 15 years in prison.
The former 49er was arrested in June 2021 by US marshals who were wanted for bond violations. The 41-year-old was driving over 115 mph and was carrying weapons and drugs.

“We appreciate everyone who has come forward to provide evidence and aid in our investigation,” said Lacy Johnson, a chief prosecutor in the Major Offenders Division, who is handling the case. “Although this investigation has been going on since Taylor’s disappearance in 2021, the court process is just beginning, and we encourage anyone who has knowledge about what happened between Kevin and Taylor to come forward.”
The Grand Jury of the Harris County district charged Kevin with the murder and tampering with evidence. Ware’s attorney, Coby DuBose, did not give any comment whatsoever regarding the case.
The lawsuit is ongoing and no decision has been made regarding the conviction of Kevin Ware Jr.
