Sara Rue is an American actress. She is known for her roles on the shows Popular and Less than Perfect, among others.

She is the daughter of Joan (Rue), an actress, and Marc Schlackman, a stage director. She is married to teacher Kevin Price, with whom she has two children.

Sara’s maternal grandfather was Edwin Wilson “Skip” Rue (the son of Insco Williams Rue, Sr. and Charlotte Ewing DeVeau Forbes). Edwin survived the Bataan Death March in WWII. Insco was the son of Archibald Beatricia Rue and Jessimine Dunlop “Jessie” Anderson. Charlotte was the daughter of Francis/Frank Marion Forbes and Anna Mae/May Tomlinson.

Sara’s maternal grandmother was Frances True Brown (the daughter of John Eli Brown and Gertrude Gibson Minish). Frances was born in Kentucky. John was the son of William Brown and Lulie True. Gertrude was the daughter of William Richard “W.R.” Minish and Adrian Frances “Addie” Thomas.
