Meredith Dial, the Marketing Director for the Columbia, SC based firm Dial Grimm & Rupert and a Member of the Board of Directors of the Make-A-Wish Foundation in South Carolina, has died.
Dial’s shocking and unexpected death has stunned many who knew and worked with her.
Her death was announced by Make-A-Wish South Carolina on Tuesday, August 20th in a post shared to social media.
“It is with deep sorrow that we share the unexpected passing of Meredith Dial, a beloved member of our Make-A-Wish South Carolina family. Meredith was more than just a board member; she was a dedicated advocate, a loving wife to Chad, and a proud mother to Owen and Myatt, a Make-A-Wish kid who inspired so many with his courage,” the post read.
The Foundation went on to praise Dial for her unwavering support to the cause, noting how many lives she had touched through her ‘generosity and passion for making wishes come true’. She tirelessly raised funds for the organization and at times, put in her own funds to advance their cause.
The post added that she will be forever remembered for her “kindness, her spirit, and the love she had for her family and community,”
Aside from the post, social media has been flooded with tributes to the late marketing executive with many hailing her dedication, compassion and philanthropic nature during a life well lived.
“Meredith was a ray of sunshine and an incredible inspiration,” read one comment left in her honor.

Meredith Coulter Dial was an American marketing executive and philanthropist most known for her work with the Make-A-Wish foundation in South Carolina.
Dial received her education at the University of South Carolina where she graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and Business.
Her professional career began with a four year stint as a leasing consultant for Granby Crossing from 2012 to 16′ before becoming Assistant Manager at the Tremont Apartments.

She founded her own firm, Meredith Dial Designs in 2018 before co-founding the law firm Dial Grimm and Rupert with her husband Chad in 2020. She served as the Marketing Director of the real estate law firm until her untimely passing.
Dial in September 2023 was named to the Board of Directors of the Make-A-Wish Foundation in South Carolina.

Dial has two children with her husband Chad, Myatt and Owen. Myatt, a make-a-wish kid living with a respiratory disorder, was part of the reason Dial worked so hard with the foundation.
Prior to being named on the Board of Directors, she served on the Development Committee of the South Carolina Make-A-Wish and hosted wish celebrations for many local kids. She is also a prolific fundraiser for the cause.
Meanwhile, a meal train was started for the Dial family to help with meals at this difficult time.
