"The more strength we can get in our body by lifting is really something that makes me feel strong, able and empowered. That along with stretching and staying limber and mobile are the most important things."

Lopez also revealed that she lifts weight three to four days a week. When she wants to lean out, she adds cardio to the mix –  30 minutes of cardio then 30 minutes of resistance training. She usually starts with leg work, moving onto her back and shoulders, ending with core work.

Jennifer revealed to Rolling Stone that she goes to therapy. She also said that she has "become much more spiritual" since having kids. She relies on daily prayers and affirmations to keep her grounded, including "I am whole; I am good on my own; I love the universe, the universe loves me," she added. "I try to always live from a place of gratitude," she said. "But today, especially, if you ask me what my first thought was, it was, 'Thank you. Thank you, God, for this day. Thank you for my life, what it is.'"

Jen pushes the importance of drinking plenty of water, "drinking plenty of water, especially before a workout, can help you push harder and get more out of your exercise routine," she revealed to HELLO! She has also revealed that proper hydration is one of the secrets to her J.LO glow. The Mayo Clinic agrees that drinking plenty of water helps to keep the skin hydrated and looking its best.

Jennifer doesn't use that as an excuse. She looks better and more fit than ever before at 52. "I'm in the best shape of my life," she admitted in InStyle's 2021 The Beauty Issue. Her secret? Evolving her approach to exercise as she ages. "In my 20s and 30s I used to work out but not like I do now," she said. "It's not that I work out more; I just work out harder and smarter. And it doesn't take me as long as it did in the past. I do it more for my health than I do for looks, which is funny. When you do things for the right reasons, you actually look better!"
