"You can hit basically just yes or no," said Lucas Warburton, Idaho iRepair technician.
But there's another privacy setting hidden in Apple's iPhone that knows where you work, where you live, and other frequent places you visit down to the exact minute you're there.
"Its scary to know who has that information. Who knows where you've been besides you? Somebody else knows that, too," said J.J. Saldana, Boise resident.
Unless you manually turn this setting off, it's been tracking your daily activity since you activated the phone.
"It knows where your home is and knows where your work, so when you scroll down on your "notification center," it'll say right now, it'll take you about 15 minutes to drive to your house or to work," Warburton said.
"Thinking that they could take it that much further and track your whereabouts or things along those lines, it's terrifying," said Janae Korfanta, Boise resident.
Warburton says the setting is used to help avoid traffic on your everyday commute, but iPhone users told KBOI 2news it's not worth the breach in privacy.
"If we get stuck in traffic, we get stuck in traffic. It's just not that important to me," said Jamie Watson, Boise resident.
"I think we've lost a lot of our privacy," Saldana said.
Here's how to turn the location setting off:
In iPhone settings, scroll down to privacy. When you see "location services," scroll down until you see "frequent locations." Click on "frequent locations" and there will be an option to turn it off completely.
Another perk of turning this location service off? It'll save battery life.
For those who aren't iPhone users, there are some apps that can track your location, but they will likely ask for your permission first.
