Former Supreme Court Justice V.C.R.A.C Crabbe Dies Aged 94

Former Supreme Court Justice and the first Ghanaian to chair the Electoral Commission, Vincent Cyril Richard Arthur Charles Crabbe, has died.
Justice V.C.R.A.C Crabbe died early Friday in a hospital in the capital, GhanaCelebrities.Com has learned.
He was 94.
Born in October 1923 at Ussher Town in Accra, Crabbe was a distinguished personality his entire career, holding several vastly prominent roles.
He served as a Supreme Court Justice as well as the first ever Ghanaian to chair the Electoral Commission. He also received several international appointments including First Parliamentary Counsel and Constitutional Advisor to the Ugandan Government, Director of the Commonwealth Secretariat Scheme for Legislative draftsmen for the West African Region, Southern African Region, the Caribbean Region and a Professor of Legislative drafting at the Cave Hill Campus, Barbados, University of West Indies.

He also played a key role in the drafting of Ghana’s 1979 constitution and the review of the 1992 constitution.
Before his death he served as a Professor of Law at Mountcrest University College in Accra.
