Canadian-American actor Jim Carrey has generated an abundance of wealth from his success in the film industry, leading people to wonder how he chooses to spend his money. 

Jim Carrey does not appear to own a yacht, although he often travels in them, and has been seen on getaways in the luxury boats. He was spotted cruising in a luxury yacht around Majorca and Ibiza in 2003, often traveling to celebrity hotspot and marina Puerto Portals. He does, however, own a private jet: a Gulfstream V Airplane worth around $59 million.

Spending Time At The Marina

Carrey is not reported to own a personal yacht. If he does, he keeps it out of the public eye.

Still, the actor has been seen in various marinas popular with other high-profile figures. 

One celebrity hotspot, Puerto Portals in Torre De Capitania, Spain, has hosted a slew of famous celebrities including Paris Hilton, Bill Gates and Carrey himself. 

While other personalities have been known to anchor their personal yachts at Puerto Portals, Jim Carrey seems to have spent time enjoying the Spanish marina, which has a beautiful beach nearby. 

abcMallorca reported the dock as a favorable hotspot due to its proximity to nearby attractions. 

Carrey was spotted traveling to Puerto Portals, which is in Palma de Mallorca, via his private jet. After this, he enjoyed the luxuries of the superyacht named the Golden Odyssey at Club de Mar.

The Golden Odyssey is owned by Saudi royalty Prince Khaled bin Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, and stretches 123.2 meters in length, with coral interiors. 

It was built by German company Lürssen, and the interiors were completed by acclaimed designer Martin Francis, who is well-known for using glass as an illustrious medium. 

Carrey reportedly spent a weekend travelling around Ibiza and Majorca on the extravagant yacht.

The Gulfstream V

Although Carrey does not own a yacht, he spares no expense with his private jet. 

Carrey owns a personal Gulfstream V, which is incredibly powerful in its performance, and is just as expensive.

The actor reportedly purchased the private airplane for around $59 million. 

The Gulfstream V is one of the best built private aircrafts available, with an extremely strong engine. 

How Jim Carrey Made His Wealth

Before his breakthrough in Hollywood, Jim Carrey was a comedian famous for his impersonations of celebrities in Toronto.

He graduated to performing at open mics and conducting regular shows, eventually moving to L.A, and then Hollywood to pursue his stand-up career.

However, soon after moving to Hollywood, Carrey realized he wanted to pursue a career in acting, turning to on-screen productions.

The actor first started gaining recognition in 1990 for his role in the American comedy In Living Color.
