A man named Lacthan is concerned about the trouble that his brother Perithan has gotten himself into and needs your help.

He wishes to find out what has happened as well as search for his brother and wants to hire you as his bodyguard, which you agree to.

You and Lacthan will now need to ask around before searching the nearby area to see if Perithan is still in the area and figure out the truth about what he has done.

How To Get Bound by Blood Quest?

Bound by Blood is one of the side quests that you can obtain in Margrave and can be started by speaking with Lacthan.

Bound by Blood Quest Objectives

1) Speak with Villagers

Before you and Lacthan set out to search for Perithan, you will need to speak with three of the villagers in Margrave to get clues.

You will need to do the following:

• Speak to Priest Matvey
• Speak with Meridan
• Speak with Guard Cverko

2) Bring Lacthan to his brother’s last known location

The clues will not have given you a lot to go on, which leaves you and Lacthan heading to the last known location where Perithan may be.

Head east towards a camp and you will find the remains of what appears to have been a fight and will need to investigate.

3) Search the area for clues

The area will be a mess and you will need to search for clues, which can be done by interacting with the following objects in the area:

• Slain Merchant
• Empty Barrels
• Bandit Corpse

4) Help Lacthan find the bandit hideout in Sinner’s Chase

You and Lacthan will need to continue heading east into Sinner’s Chase as you search for Perithan who may be nearby.

Make your way to the Western Tunnels and head south until you reach a dungeon called Cutthroat’s Escape.

5) Enter Cutthroat’s Escape and find Perithan

Once you reach the entrance to Cutthroat’s Escape, you will need to go inside, which will allow you and Lacthan to start searching for his brother.

6) Search for Perithan

Explore the area until you reach a door at the end and this will be locked, which requires that you find the Smuggler’s Key.

7) Find the Smuggler’s Key

You will find the Smuggler’s Key inside of a Smuggler’s Pack, which needs to be interacted with to be opened to drop the key. (This will be near the door, we found it north of the door)

8) Open the locked door

Now that you have the key, head back to the door and open it to proceed inside and continue your search for Perithan.

9) Bring Lacthan to Perithan

Continue making your way into the tunnels and you will eventually reach Perithan, who appears to have been attacked.

10) Slay Outlaw Sharpshooter

An Outlaw Sharpshooter will appear and begin to attack you while Lacthan is tending to the injured Perithan and you must slay it.

The Outlaw Shooter will often disappear and reappear to attack you while also laying down traps to blind or stun you.

Continue fighting the Outlaw Sharpshooter until it is defeated so that you can return to the Lacthan and Perithan.

11) Speak with Perithan

Approach Perithan and interact with him to listen to the conversation between the brothers, which reveals that Perithan is innocent.

Lacthan decides to leave with Perithan after you agree not to tell anyone, which ends with the two walking off together and the quest ending.

After saving Perithan from the Outlaw Bandit, the two brothers escape and the quest becomes complete, rewarding you with the following:

• XP
• Gold
• 20 Fractured Peaks Renown
• 1 Gem Cache

Verdict

It turns out that Perithan was always looked at negatively by the other villagers and there would be no way that they would believe he is innocent.

Lacthan has decided to start a new life and escape with his brother, which ended up with him requesting you keep this a secret.

The two brothers have now fled the area, never to return to Margrave but have given you their thanks as well as a reward.
