Corey Seager is an American professional baseball player. He is a shortstop for the Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He was the National League (NL) Rookie of the Year, for 2016, the NL Championship Series Most Valuable Player (MVP) and World Series MVP, for 2020, and the World Series MVP, for 2023. He previously played for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Corey is the son of Jody and Jeffrey Seager. His brothers, Justin and Kyle Seager, have also been professional baseball players. Corey is married to Madisyn Van Ham.

Corey’s paternal grandfather was Barton Duane “Bart” Seager (the son of Harry William Seager and Reva Vivian Olney). Barton was born in New York.
