Druids have multiple ways to kill enemies, mainly using the force of nature and one of these is the use of Earth Skills.
Earth Skills may be improved with the use of the Ballistic Aspect, making all your Earth Skills better by increasing their rank.
This can be done with the Ballistic Aspect, which increases the rank of Earth Skills if you have Fortify currently active.
Ballistic Aspect Effects (Earth Skills Aspect)
The Ballistic Aspect adds ranks to your Earth Skills whenever you are affected by Fortify, improving the damage and other effects they have.
Since Druids have several ways to gain Fortify, triggering the Ballistic Aspect should be a piece of cake, even if you are using a Basic Skill.
Once you lose Fortify, your Earth Skills will return to their normal ranks until you gain Fortify again through any method.
Ballistic Aspect Location
You may unlock the Ballistic Aspect by completing the Whispering Pines Dungeon, which can be found in the Highland Wilds to the very east. (Scosglen)
How To Get Ballistic Aspect? (Whispering Pines Walkthrough)
1) Slay the Gatekeepers
Once you enter the Whispering Pines, you will start in the Grieving Woods, and from here, you will need to find and slay 2 Gatekeepers.
The Gatekeepers will be visible on your map once you are near them and can be found in the area by exploring.
2) Travel to the Razed Keep
After you have slain the 2 Gatekeepers, you will need to proceed to the Razed Keep to continue making your way through the dungeon.
Along the way, you may encounter another objective before you can proceed to the next area. (For us, we had to activate levers)
3) Slay all enemies in the Razed Keep
Once you make it to the Razed Keep, you will need to slay all the enemies in the area before you can continue to the next area.
Enemies will be visible on your map once you explore the area and will be represented by red dots, making it easier to find them.
4) Travel to the Fallen Sanctuary
After clearing out the Razed keep, you will need to make your way to the Fallen Sanctuary where you will fight the boss.
5) Defeat the Spiritcaller of Squalls
You will encounter an enemy called the Spiritcaller of Squalls in the Fallen Sanctuary and will need to defeat him to complete the dungeon.
Verdict
Druids can be quite durable during a fight and the ability to withstand more damage with Fortify is already enough to keep them going but with this aspect, things get even better.
It does not matter how much Fortify you have because if you are affected by Fortify, you get the bonus ranks for your Earth Skills.
This is perfect for the Druid Earth Build and may even be useful for a Druid Companion Build if you tend to use Earth Skills along with your companions.
